    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive method using mastic beads for adhering a heat insulating block to an inner hull.
      SOLUTION: The method uses the mastic beads for adhering a second heat insulating block to the inner hull of a ship to manufacture a sealed heat insulating tank for transporting liquefied gas. The tank consists of a main sealed barrier for contacting a product in the tank, and a second sealed barrier arranged between the main sealed barrier and the inner hull of the ship. The first and second heat insulating blocks are each manufactured of a plywood panel containing or holding a heat insulating material, and the second heat insulating block is fixed directly to the inner hull. The adhering method comprises applying the mastic beads to the lower side face of the panel of the second heat insulating block, arranging the second heat insulating bock on the inner hull of the ship, and compressing them on the inner hull until mastic polymerization.
