摘要： 1347330 Phthalide compounds HODOGAYA CHEMICAL CO Ltd and FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 15 Dec 1971 [28 Dec 1970] 58360/71 Heading C4P [Also in Division D2] Novel compounds of the formula wherein R 1 is H, CH 3 , C 2 H 5 , COCH 3 or benzyl; R 2 is CH 3 or C 2 H 5 ; R 3 is H, CH 3 or C 2 H 5 ; R 4 is CH 3 or phenyl; X is CH 3 , OCH 3 or OC 2 R 5 ; Y is H, Cl, Br or N(CH 3 ) 2 ; and n is 1, 2, 3 or 4 are prepared by condensing, in the presence of a condensing agent and at a temperature of 50- 130‹ C., (a) a 2-carboxy-2 1 -X-4 1 -NR 1 R 2 - benzophenone with a 1-R 3 -2-R 4 -indole; or (b) a 1 - R3 - 2 - R 4 - 3 - (21 - carboxy - benzoyl)- indole with a 1-NR 1 R 2 -3-X-benzene. They are used as colour-formers in pressure-sensitive copying paper (see Divison D2).
