    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveying system capable of being suitably adopted in a three-dimensional passage by using a stepped plate. SOLUTION: The stepped plate 1 circulatingly moving in a closed moving route P is divided into three groups. In a lifting conveying route, a plate 1A in a first group moves in a first forward moving route portion and a plate 1B in a second group moves in a second horizontal forward moving route portion. A plate 1C in a third group is positioned on the lower side of the first and second groups, and moves in a return route portion to the start point of the first forward moving route portion. On the other hand, also in a flat horizontal conveying passage, the plates 1A, 1B, and 1C divided into three groups move in the moving route P in which these plates circulate in the relation of the same phase difference. Accordingly, the system can be generally formed to be vertically compact and the three-dimensional passage with excellent riding comfortableness can be formed without receiving abrupt change in acceleration. SOLUTION: The passenger conveying facility comprises a main frame 11 having an inclined section 20 in between an upper horizontal section 18 and a lower horizontal section 19; a plurality of steps 21 endlessly joined for circulation in the main frame 11; left and right balustrades 22 positioned on both sides of the steps 21 along the direction of their movement and supported by the frame 11; handrails 24 guided by the circumferences of the balustrades 22 and moving in synchronization with the steps 22; a passenger conveyor 10 having an exterior panel 27 covering a side of the frame 11 with the main frame 11 installed on a stair 4; and a stair lift 30 for conveying a wheelchair user, outside the passenger conveyor 10 and along the inclination of the stair 4 and engaged with a guide means 28 installed on the frame 11 and the exterior panel 27.
