    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power circuit for image forming device wherein the energy saving efficiency of the image forming device can be enhanced. SOLUTION: FETs 6a, 6b, 7a, and 7b whose on-voltages are lower than those of a diode are used in synchronous rectification circuits 1 and 2. In an energy saving mode which is established after the termination of an operating mode, a synchronous rectification control circuit 3 turns off the FETs 6a and 6b in the synchronous rectification circuit 1 to interrupt a current to the synchronous rectification circuit 1. Thus, the connection of a dummy resistor to drive output terminals td1 and td2 is obviated, and power consumption at the resistor is avoided. Differential operation is performed at a comparison circuit 11 by a power saving reference voltage from a reference voltage varying circuit 14. The turning-ON/OFF of FET 8 is controlled according to a control signal which is outputted from a PWM control circuit 12 by an output voltage from the comparison circuit 11, so that the control voltage of each control output terminal tc1 and tc2 is equal to a power-saving control voltage lower than a reference control voltage. Thus, power consumption is efficiently reduced both in the normal operating mode and in the energy saving mode. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
