摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a synthesized image of format optical original left positive, and a thermally formed image of characters or the like, by using an electrophotographic receptor having retentive photoconductivity and thermoreleasability. CONSTITUTION:The optical image of a format original is projected to the face 1 of a photosensitive drum through a lens system 2, raising the conductivity of the light parts of the face 1 and retaining its state for sometime. The face 1 is heated with a thermorecording head 3, restoring the parts raised in conductivity to initial low value. The latent image consisting of the optical image and the thermally formed image thus synthethized is developed with a developing device 4, transferred to a sheet 9, and fixed with a fixing roll 7. A conductive or semiconductive toner in the developing device 4 is subjected to bias 5, and attaches only to the parts of the face 1 low in conductivity. The photoreceptor is restored to the initial state with a uniform exposure lamp 12 and a destaticizer 10.

摘要： PURPOSE:To record a synthetic picture by providing two systems of exposure means and by performing exposure while overlaying necessary information from the 1st system and fixed-form pattern information from the 2nd system with each other. CONSTITUTION:After a photosensitive drum 4 is charged by an electric charger 7, the 1st exposure means A exposes optical picture information on an original, wherein a fixed-form pattern is entered, set on an original placing plate 1 at the prescribed position of the drum 4 successively. After the original picture is scanned, the original placing plate 1 is driven in the opposite direction by going beyond its home position to form the 2nd exposure means B, which while the drum 4 is turned for the 2nd time, exposes optical picture information in a dot pattern generated by an LED array 5 at the prescribed position of the drum 4 successibely. In this case, exposure timing is so set that the picture part by the 2nd exposure means is overlaid with that exposed by the 1st exposure means A. Then, development is carried out.

SOLUTION: If a printing mode for the subsequent STEPs 2 and 3 is specified to an MFP (Multi-Function Peripheral) by user operation, the MFP embeds information identifying a memory location into a specified and memorized image data I2 and prints the image data I2 (STEP1). Information is added to the printed matter by a user in handwriting etc. (STEP2). If the printed matter after the information is added is scanned (STEP3), the MFP identifies the memory location from the image data I1 that is the scan data, and replaces the scanned image data I1 with image data I2 at the memory location and registers it. Even if a printing condition is established for the image data by the STEP 1, specifying the printing mode establishes another printing condition suitable for scanning of STEP3.
