    • PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of measured values by irradiating a capillary sealed with a blood to be inspected evenly with a light of a specified wavelength closely over the entire length thereof to eliminate attenuation during the irradiation. CONSTITUTION:A capillary 1 is sealed with a blood to be inspected and divided into a blood cell part A, a plasma part B and a blank part C. A transparent tubulet 2 filled with a fluorescent substance is provided close to the capillary 1 parallel thereto. The fluorescent substance is selected from those generating a light with a specified wavelength of 455nm by an exciting light 3 like quinine. This wavelength light is absorbed by bilirubin and the bilirubin value can be measured depending to absorbance thereof. A detector 6 has a plurality of light receiving elements 6a... arranged in series and signals of the light receiving elements are inputted into a microcomputer 8 through an amplifier 7 for data processing. Then, the mean of bilirubin is indicated together with a hematocrit value on a display 9.
