    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel, preventing generation of a fine crack, even if a large moment load is applied during an operation, and improving durability, in the bearing device fitted with a rolling bearing on the inner periphery of a hub wheel and positioned and fixed with the rolling bearing with a snap ring. SOLUTION: In this bearing device fitted with the rolling bearing 12 on the inner periphery of the hub wheel 1 and positioned and fixed with the rolling bearing 12 with the snap ring 13, the snap ring 13 is mounted on an inner side of a bearing center line B/C, and a snap ring groove 14 for mounting the snap ring 13 is formed into a substantially rectangular shape in cross section in the vicinity of a caulking part 8. Both corners 15 and 16 of the snap ring groove 14 are formed into circular-arc surfaces having each different radius of curvature.
