摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain an image with high resolution when black-and-white display is performed and to attain high contrast and low power consumption by switching color display and the black-and-white display by a color filter. CONSTITUTION:The color filter is switched to an RGB plane sequential filter or an RGB full color transmission filter, and a deflection circuit is operated to perform horizontal deflection or vertical deflection for triple high speed scan when the color display is performed, and is operated by unmagnified scan when the black-and-white display is performed. It is required to change a variable optical reader in every case of color display and black-and-white display, however, it is performed by a liquid crystal switch control circuit and a liquid crystal switch change-over switch control circuit, and three primary colors of R, G, and B are displayed sequentially when the color display is performed. Then, a change-over switch (2)22 switches a luminance signal for unmagnified scan and RGB sequential signals for triple scan, and a signal inputted from a luminance signal input terminal 1 is directly inputted to the signal change-over switch (2)22 as the signal when the black-and-white display is performed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To compress a circuit scale and to improve recording and reproducing characteristic by using a reference signal with the same frequency as that of the reference signal for quadrature modulation generated at an encoder part and whose phase is locked as the reference signal for a chrominance signal processing circuit. CONSTITUTION:The frequency is set as the one of fsc for quadrature modulation used in the conversion of a color difference signal generated at the encoder part A to a chroma signal and with the same as that of either quadrature reference signals with phases different by 90 deg. or that of the quadrature reference signal. Also, The reference signal whose phase is locked is inputted to the frequency converter 9 of a recording system B out of chrominance signal processing circuits B, C as a frequency and phase reference signal, and to the frequency converter 15 of the reproducing system C as a frequency reference signal. In such a way, since the reference signal generated at the encoder part A is provided with the frequency fsc and the phase of it is locked to the reference signals phi1 and phi2 for quadrature modulation, it can be used as a recording reference signal and a reproducing reference signal as it is. Thereby, the circuit scale can be compressed, and the recording and reproducing characteristic can be improved.
