    • PURPOSE:To obtain a ceiling buried type air conditioner which is not subjected to limitation on the direction of fitting of a piping even when it is installed in a place restricted in regard to execution of work. CONSTITUTION:A through hole 14 is formed in one end of the upper part of the short sides 12 of a frame 5 so that it pierces through the opposite short sides 12, and on one of the short sides 12, auxiliary pipings 16 connected to a heat exchanger and a drain port 17 are led out through the short side 12. At the time when an air conditioner 1 is installed in a space of the ceiling, a piping X is connected as it is when the piping in the site is in accord with the directions of the auxiliary pipings 16 and the drain port 17 led out from the air conditioner 1. When the piping X or the like in the site is stretched around from the side opposite to the direction of the auxiliary pipings 16, the through hole 14 is exposed by removing caps 15, the piping X in the site is inserted through the through hole 14 and stretched around onto the auxiliary piping 16 side and then connection of the piping is executed.

    • PURPOSE:To lessen the number of components, to reduce the number of assembling processes thereby and to improve handing by a method wherein an air guider is provided inside a frame, upper and lower right side late are provided at one end of the air guider and a left side plate at the other end, a motor is supported by fitting and fixing the upper and lower right side plates, and a cross flow fan and a heat exchanger are so provided as to couple the upper and lower right side plates and the left side plate. CONSTITUTION:An air guider 6 made of foamed resin is provided inside a frame 5 and an upper right side plate 18 and a lower right side plate 19 made of synthetic resin are provided at one end of the air guider 6, while a left side plate 30 made of synthetic resin is provided at the other end thereof. A motor 25 is supported by fitting and fixing the upper and lower right side plates 18 and 19 so that they are paired vertically, while a bearing 31 is provided for the left side plate 30. A cross flow fan 7 coupling the motor 25 and the bearing 31 is provided, while a heat exchanger 8 covering the sucking open side of the air guider 6 and coupling the upper and lower right side plates 18 and 19 and the left side plate 30 is provided. The motor 25 needs to be supported only on one side of the cross flow fan and a shaft can be made small in size and light in weight. Besides, a partition plate and other components are dispensed with, and the apparatus can be made simple and light in weight since main components are formed of synthetic resin.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent condensed water from dropping into a room, to regulate the flow of air from a suction port into a heat exchanger and to reduce noise to a lower value by providing second water reception trays coupling to water reception troughs and made of U-shaped guide troughs communicating with a water reception tray at both ends of the troughs. CONSTITUTION:A water reception trough 14 having a rising rib 14a of a predetermined height on the lower projected area of an indoor side heat exchanger and made of a reception tray extending toward a heat exchanger 6 at an arbitrary angle upward from a horizontal plane, a water dripping protrusion 14d extending from the rear edge of the trough downward, a rising rib of a lower water reception trough and the rear edge of the tray of the upper water reception trough are superposed. A plurality of water reception troughs are so stepwisely disposed as to superpose the rear edge of the trough of the lowermost end with the tray, second water reception trays 16 coupling to the reception troughs and made of a U-shaped guide trough 15 communicating with the reception tray are provided at both ends of the reception troughs, all the droplets from the exchanger are received by the reception troughs, the guide trough guides the wafer to the reception tray, thereby preventing the condensed water from dropping into a room or the condensed water from overflowing from the reception troughs to a water receiver.

    • PURPOSE:To tilt the heat exchanger at an angle not exceeding 60 deg. so as to structurally reduce the main body in height an depth without increasing the resistance to the passage of air at the intake and prevent the condensation water from dropping into the room by providing a plurality of water-receiving troughs each of which is inclined at an arbitrary angle counterclockwise from a horizontal plane and by providing second water-receiving dishes at the two side ends of each of the water-receiving troughs, each connected with the respective water-receiving troughs and communicating as a guide trough with a water-receiving dish. CONSTITUTION:Under an indoor heat exchanger 6 and on a plane of its projection are provided a plurality of water-receiving troughs 14 arranged in a row like steps forming stairs. Each of the troughs 14, except one at the lowest end, forms a dish 14b which is inclined upward at an arbitrary angle alpha from a horizontal plane and whose backward edge 14c comes in alignment with a rising rib 14a; the backward edge 14c of the dish 14b of the water-receiving trough 14 at the lowest end comes in alignment with a water-receiving dish 7. At the two side ends of each of the water- receiving troughs 14 are respectively provided second water-receiving dishes 16, each having the shape of the letter U at cross section, connected with the respective water- receiving troughs 14, and communicating as a guide trough 15 with a water-receiving dish 7.
