The auxiliary absorber 1 has a pair of core part elastic members 26 extending in a longitudinal direction while lapping on the two pair of weakened areas 221 and applying contraction force in a longitudinal direction to the absorbing core 22. In the auxiliary absorber 1, both side end parts, a front part 201, and rear part 203 of the central part 202 are raised upward from an area specified by the weakened areas 221 (that is, a substantially rectangular-shaped circular area passing inner end parts of the four weakened areas 221), by the contraction of a core elastic member 26. Consequently, the site near the central part 202 of the auxiliary absorber 1 naturally or easily deforms in the concave shape, and the accommodating force of the excrement such as feces in the central part 202 is increased.
