摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a high-caloric food producible in a mass and useful as a reservation food such as a rescue food or an emergency food by supplying a mixture containing gelatinized cereals, etc., to a twin-screw food extruder and molding under specific condition. SOLUTION: The objective high-caloric food is produced by mixing (A) 44-55wt.% of gelatinized cereal and/or starch, (B) 10-15wt.% of a sugar such as sucrose, (C) 5-10wt.% of whole milk powder, (D) 0-0.5wt.% of citric acid and (E) 0-5wt.% of an auxiliary additive such as sesame, feeding the obtained mixture to a twin-screw food extruder by a powder feeder, uniformly mixing and stirring the mixture in a barrel heated at 40-80 deg.C while supplying a molten oil and fat from a tank heated at 40-60 deg.C at a rate of 30-40wt.% to the twin- screw food extruder with a pump and continuously extruding the mixture under pressure.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture shock absorbing materials with a simplified extruder by pushing a raw material mainly composed of alpha-adjusted starch with a low moisture content into a die, extruding the raw material in the form of a string while heating the same under pressure to perform foaming, and further cutting the extruded and foamed article into a proper shape. SOLUTION: A hopper 9 of a feeder 5 is first charged with a raw material mainly composed of alpha-adjusted starch with a low moisture content. Then, this raw material is guided by a screw 10 of the feeder 5, which charges it into a hopper of a barrel 1, and a fixed quantity of the raw material is fed into the barrel 1. The raw material in the fixed quantity thus fed is kneaded by a kneading screw in the barrel 1, heated by a heater 3 just before being extruded from a die, and then extruded in the form of a string to be expanded. Further the foamed article extruded in the form of a string is cut in the form of pellets by a cutting blade 15 of a cutting machine 6 to make finished products. If such a raw material is used, the degree of viscosity of the raw material in a barrel in an extruder can be controlled to a low level when the raw material is extruded and expanded.
