    • PURPOSE:To obtain a base for a planographic printing plate free from contamination of non-image parts or ground contamination while retaining durability to printing, by a method wherein an aluminum plate is sanded, is then subjected to anodic oxidation, and is treated in a specified solution. CONSTITUTION:The aluminum plate used as a blank material of the base for the planographic printing plate is subjected to sanding, and then to anodic oxidation. The aluminum plate is then treated in a diluted aqueous solution of a salt of a divalent metal and phytic acid or a salt thereof at a temperature of 60- 100 deg.C. The aluminum plate thus treated is washed with water to remove excess treating solution, is dried, and then a photosensitive layer is provided thereon by coating. A photosensitive composition for constituting the photosenstive layer preferably comprises o-quinonediazide compound. A photosensitive planographic printing plate thus manufactured has high adhesive strength between the aluminum plate as the base and the photosensitive layer provided thereon, has excellent durability to printing, and a printed matter obtained thereby is completely free from ground contamination.

    • PURPOSE: To form a protecting agent for a lithographic plate, which is free of leaving parts unprinted even when the non-piture region of the lithographic plate is desensitized and the picture region is stored for a long period of time by using a water-soluble enzyme-decomposing dextrin or enzyme-decomposing etherified dextrin having a film-forming property.
      CONSTITUTION: A protecting agent contains about 5W35wt% (preferably 10W 25wt%) a water-soluble enzyme-decomposing dextrin or enzyme-decomposing etherified dextrin having a film-forming property. The enzyme-decomposing dextrin is obtained by decomposing starch by an enxyme, e.g., α-amylase, β- amylase, saccharogenic amylase, etc., and the enzyme-decomposing etherified dextrin is obtained by decomposing hydroxyethyl starch, hydroxypropyl starch, ethyl starch, etc., by said enzyme.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate vacuum contact operation between an original image and a printing plate, by adding fine silica particles having a specified particle size or below this and hydrophobic surfaces and a matting agent having a specified particle size to the photosensitive layer of a photosensitive printing plate. CONSTITUTION:Silica fine particles has surface area in the air of 60% relative humidity and 20 deg.C, and they are colorless or white, light- transmitting, and 1.3-1.7 in refractive index. A photosensitive layer consisting of an o-quinonediazide compound, a diazo resin, a photosensitive azide compound, and a photopolymerizable compound is formed on a support, such as an aluminum plate or polyethylene terephthalate film. Said silica is added to said layer by 0.1-50% based on the total weight of said layer, and a matting agent having 3-40mum average particle size, made of polyethylene or the like synthetic resin, talc powder, titania powder, or the like is also added to said l ayer by 0.01-20% based on the total weight of said layer so as to give 50- 500,000 particles per cm of the surface of said layer, thus permitting a printing plate easy in vacuum contact operation to be obtained.
