      SOLUTION: In this connector, a retainer insertion hole 25 allowing insertion and detachment of the retainer 30 is bored in the bottom face of a female housing 20, and a lock protrusion part 33 is locked to a jaw part 15 of a female- side terminal fitting 10 for double detachment prevention when the retainer 30 reaches an actual lock position. The lower ends of both front and rear faces of the retainer 30 are formed with engagement holes 38 each allowing insertion of the tip of the rod 40, and the front and rear hole edges of the retainer insertion hole 25 are formed with a pair of aslant-cut rod insertion holes 28. When inserting the rod 40 into the front or rear rod insertion hole 28 to hang the rod 40 to an engagement hole 38 in the front face or the rear face of the retainer 30 and operating the rod 40 like a lever, the retainer 30 is returned to a temporal lock position to release the locking by the retainer 30.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold alignment of a male side terminal metal fitting, using a simple structure.
      SOLUTION: When a retainer 40 exists in a regular locking position, a regulating part 41 rushes in this side in a deflecting space 25, and a regulates deflection of a lance 24, so that the male side terminal metal fitting 10 is doubly prevented from slipping out. The retainer 40 can be pushed in the further inmost push-in position, against resiliency of a spring part provided in the retainer 40 as a mating female housing is fitted normally in a hood part 22. When a female housing is extracted from the hood part 22 at maintenance and so on, pressing force is removed so that the retainer 40 is pushed back up to the regular locking position by restoring resiliency of the spring part. During this time, since a tab 12 of the male side terminal metal fitting 10 is relatively inserted in a state of being fitted in an insertion groove 43 of the retainer 40 over a side- surface from an under surface, while pressing down its upper surface by the upper front wall surface 27, even if alignment of the tab 12 is deviated, deviation is corrected.

      SOLUTION: A lance 32 having a pair of locking protrusions 32B capable of bending transformation in the cavities on both sides is formed on the partition wall 23A between the cavities 23 arranged in parallel. When the female terminal fitting 10 is inserted in one of the cavities 23, the lance 32 is bent and deformed inside the neighboring cavity 23 and received in the lance-receiving part 18 of the female terminal fitting 10 inserted in the cavity 23. When the female terminal fitting 10 reaches the regular position, the lance 32 is deformed to be restored and the locking protrusion 32B is locked to the jaw part 17 of the female terminal fitting 10.
