    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable cutting tool capable of safely cutting off an optical cable even by a general user.SOLUTION: An optical cable 60 is entirely cut off by a cable cutting blade 44, and an end surface 60a of the optical cable 60 is formed. Moreover, an optical fiber 61 is ruptured by a fiber rupturing blade 46 and the rupture surface of the optical fiber 61 is formed. The rupture surface of this optical fiber 61 is formed at a position different from that of the end surface 60a of the optical cable 60. Light is prevented from outgoing from the end surface 60a of the optical cable 60 to the outside. Accordingly, the optical cable 60 can be safely cut off even by a general user without possibility that communication light enters eyes.
