When the work clamp 10 reaches the specified position immediately before entering the specific region of the lower turret 13, the clamp lift mechanism is operated via a roller 4 by a roller cam 5 moved together with the carriage, the work clamp 10 is lifted, a collision with a die D is avoided, and the flapping and breakage of a clamp plate 12 can be prevented.
