    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber-like absorbent for gathering odor components with a high versatility, which can gather water-soluble acidic and basic odor components in the atmospheric environment, can be reproduced by a simple method, and can correspond to various kinds of application purposes.SOLUTION: A water-soluble zwitter-ion polymer is mixed with a hydrophilic fiber material solution. In this case, the water-soluble zwitter-ion polymer includes both of an anionic functional group and a cationic functional group in the same molecule as the functional group which exhibits the gathering function for the water-soluble acidic and basic odor components in the atmospheric environment, based on the electrostatic interaction. The fiber-like absorbent for gathering odor components can be obtained by blend-spinning the mixed solution by the wet spinning method. The fiber-like absorbent for gathering odor components which can correspond to various kinds of application purposes, and also, is easily reproducible is manufactured by this method.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide rayon which retains a good anti-microbial property, even when repeatedly washed.
      SOLUTION: This anti-microbial rayon in which a metal chlorophyll derivative as an anti-microbial agent is caught with a primary amine and/or a secondary amine and is little dropped or eluted from the fibers is produced by (1) mixing viscose with the primary amine and/or the secondary amine and the metal chlorophyll derivative obtained from the ingredients of the leaves of Sasa albo-marginata, wet-spinning the mixed viscose by a conventional method, and further scouring the obtained fibers, or (2) mixing viscose with the primary amine and/or the secondary amine, wet-spinning the mixed viscose by a conventional method, and further imparting an oiling agent mixed with the metal chlorophyll derivative obtained from the ingredients of the leaves of Sasa albo-marginata to the fibers in a souring process.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably prepare a structure of a functional fiber having excellent far-infrared radiating functions or antimicrobial functions, and to provide a method for stably producing the fiber.
      SOLUTION: The functional fiber is obtained by incorporating active carbon fine powder to which silver or a silver compound is applied in dots or incorporating fine powder of tourmaline in addition to the active carbon fine powder in a chemical fiber. The chemical fiber can be rayon. The method for producing the functional fiber comprises removing air in pores of the active carbon fine powder, dispersing or kneading the resultant fine powder in a raw material stock solution, then extruding the prepared solution and thereby obtaining the chemical fiber. In addition to the active carbon fine powder, the tourmaline is dispersed or kneaded with the raw material stock solution. The raw material stock solution can be viscose.
