    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic wire feeding method with repeating the cut and disposal of a wire electrode until the wire electrode at a supply side reaches a length at which the electrode is wound up into a source bobbin at the cut of the wire electrode, and to feed the wire electrode surely, quickly and smoothly to a wire sending system once again.SOLUTION: The automatic wire feeding method brings the tip of the wire electrode 5 contributing to the feed of the wire electrode into a straight linear state by repeating processes of: winding up the wire electrode 5 at the feeding side to the source bobbin 7 at the cut of the wire electrode 5; paying out the wire electrode until it reaches a length not shorten than the wound-up length; cutting the wire electrode at a one-time prescribed amount of a cutting length; and disposing it. The number of the cut and disposal of the wire electrode 5 is set to a total number (N+1) obtained by adding one time to an integer number N of a value (X/L) which is obtained by dividing the wound-up amount X of the wire electrode 5 by the preset cutting length L of the wire electrode 5.
