    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal ring capable of suppressing an amount of leakage of sealed fluid from a high-pressure region to a low-pressure region.SOLUTION: A seal ring 100 is mounted on an annular groove 210 formed on an outer periphery of a shaft 200 to seal an annular clearance gap between the shaft 200 and a housing 300 relatively rotated, so that a high-pressure region (H) in which the sealed fluid exists, and a low-pressure region (L) are partitioned. When the shaft 200 and the housing 300 are relatively rotated, a side face at a low-pressure region side of the seal ring 100 and a side face of the annular groove are slid to each other. The seal ring 100 includes a side groove (110) as a groove extending from a position exposed to the low-pressure region (L) toward an inner peripheral face side to a position not reaching the inner peripheral face at a side face of a low-pressure region (L) side.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resinous seal ring which can generate leakage of oil and reduce a dragging torque caused between the seal ring and a mounted shaft much more than before. SOLUTION: The resinous seal ring is manufactured as follows. Cut-out portions 13 are formed on the inside-diameter sides of both surfaces of the seal ring 11 so as to form a polygonal or projected cross section. Then, the cut-out portions 13 are continuously connected in the ring shape over the whole periphery of the seal ring by connecting abutment portions having a composite step-cut shape.
