    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear sensor reducing the manufacturing cost while maintaining sufficient accuracy of detection of a foreign body.SOLUTION: A linear sensor 21 is equipped with: an attachment base 22 attached to a metallic edge of a slide door 2 capable of opening and closing a platform 4; a skin cover 23 which bulges from the attachment base 22 and has a hollow 24 in the inside; an insulator 25 which has flexibility and also is embedded in the hollow 24; and a plate-shaped electrode 26 opposed to the attachment base 22, at least a portion of the electrode being embedded in the insulator 25. In the hollow 24, a gap 27 is disposed between the electrode 26 and the attachment base 22, and the electrode 26 forms a plus pole and the attachment base 22 forms a minus pole as the grounding. Proximity and/or contact between the foreign body and the skin cover 23 is detected based on a change in capacitance between the electrode 26 and the grounding minus pole.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing device capable of reducing the number of assembly processes by a structure having a function of preventing an object from being caught and a function of starting opening operation of an opening/closing body based on a contact of the object. SOLUTION: A sensor unit 42 for detecting electrostatic capacitance between the sensor unit 42 and the object that is in the proximity of or is in contact with the sensor unit 42 is fixed to a front end part 5a of a door panel 5 opened and closed by a drive force of a slide motor. A control circuit device detects that the object is in the proximity of or in contact with the sensor unit 42 based on the electrostatic capacitance detected in the electrostatic capacitance detecting circuit using the sensor unit 42. The control circuit device controls the slide motor to allow the door panel 5 to open when it detects that the object is in contact with the sensor unit 42 during stoppage of the door panel 5, and controls the slide motor to allow the door panel 5 to be reversed when it detects that the object is in the proximity of the sensor unit 42 during closing operation of the door panel 5.
