    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide efficiently produced elastomer compositions that comprise reclaimed elastomer material, but which retain mechanical properties comparable to elastomer compositions containing no reclaimed material.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing elastomer compounds, described herein, solves the problem. The compounds comprise reclaimed vulcanized elastomer materials such as micronized rubber powders (MRP). As described herein, shorter mixing times can be used to achieve the same minimum tensile strength as compositions containing no reclaimed material. The elastomeric compositions may include various proportions of reclaimed vulcanized elastomer materials. A rubber compound is also described which comprises reclaimed material and which has a minimum tensile strength equal to or higher than a predetermined minimum tensile strength associated with a compound containing no reclaimed material. The rubber compound is manufactured with a reduced mixing time compared to that of the compound with no MRP.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extrusion apparatus for plastic refuses which can properly fragment and feed plastic materials into a heating cylinder despite having a simple and inexpensively manufacturable structure.SOLUTION: This apparatus includes a housing 12 retaining the posterior portion of a heating cylinder 10 and having an inlet port 13 into which a plastic material is charged, whereas internalized within the housing 12 are a single large-diameter rotary blade 20 configured and rotating coaxially and integrally with a screw 11, one each of small-diameter rotary blades 21 and 22 configured and rotating coaxially and integrally with the large-diameter rotary blade 20 respectively at anterior and posterior positions of the axial direction of the latter, and a fixed blade 30 fixed to the housing 12 side, whereas a large-diameter rotary blade passage groove 40 is configured at least on a lower portion of the housing 12 excluding the upper portion thereof into which the plastic material is charged in the shape of a groove skirting trajectories of the contour and width of the large-diameter rotary blade 20 so as to permit the passage of the large-diameter rotary blade 20.
