    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a junction structure and a junction method for yoke and shaft capable of attaining a junction strength through a quite simple structure against the yoke and shaft constituting a steering device that are connected by metal under a quite small-sized state in order to eliminate some disadvantages of prior art that an incrementation of diameter of an output shaft requires to make a large diameter of a base end of an output shaft yoke in correspondence with the increased diameter, resulting in that sizes of the output shaft and the output shaft yoke are increased, their weights also increase to cause an entire steering device to be large in size, large formation and require a countermeasure to avoid interference with other component elements as well as reduction of degree of freedom in design.SOLUTION: This junction structure comprises a yoke A having a cylindrical part 2, a shaft 3 having a junction side shaft end part 31 connected to the cylindrical part 2 by metal, and a synthetic resin covering part 4 covering an entire peripheral part of a junction part between the cylindrical part 2 of the yoke A and the junction shaft end part 31 of the shaft 3. A part of the synthetic resin covering part 4 is filled and solidified in a yoke passing hole 23 formed in the cylindrical part 2 and a shaft passing hole 33 formed in the junction shaft end part 31 of the shaft 3.
