    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-dimensional tilting cap and its mounting seat having excellent durability without generating play at the inside without requiring confirmation and correction of the direction of a holding surface when holding a workpiece, regarding the cap tiltable in vertical and horizontal directions and the mounting seat thereof.
      SOLUTION: This cap is provided with a truncated semispherical body 2 provided with a workpiece holding surface 6 and a supporting recessed portion 7 formed on the opposite side and a mounting base body 1 provided with a supporting projection 4 for supporting an outer case 3 and the truncated semispherical body 2. The supporting recessed portion 7 is provided with a semispherical bottom surface 8 concentric with a peripheral surface of the semispherical body 2 and an tilting angle regulating inner peripheral surface 9 for regulating a tilting angle of the semispherical body 2 by abutting on the supporting projection 4. The supporting projection 4 is provided with a distal end semispherical surface 5 in surface contact with the semispherical bottom surface 8. Since the tilting angle of the semispherical body 2 is regulated by the supporting projection 4, the workpiece holding surface 6 is not immersed into the outer case 3. Holding reaction force acting on the semispherical body 2 is supported by the solid distal end semispherical surface 5, and thereby play is not generated.
