    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a display method that can provide a new function for a shock absorbing member by making it possible to visually recognize the state of the shock absorbing member demonstrating a shock absorbing function.
      SOLUTION: A base material R with the shock absorbing function is molded into a target shape to be a shock absorbing member body 1. For the surface of this member body 1, an indication pattern 2 is provided which deflects with deformation by external force applied to the member body 1, wherein the state of the external force applied to the member body 1 is made visually recognizable through the state of the indication pattern 2. In addition, flexibility and elasticity or the like of the member body 1, which has been perceptible only by tactile sense, is now perceptible by visual sense. Since the indication pattern 2 causes no change to the property of the member body 1 itself, the deterioration of the property in the member body 1 is not caused.
