    • PURPOSE:To provide clear switching characteristics to the title sensor, by providing an external shortcircuit circuit to a humidity-sensitive element in parallel and obtaining not only a resistance value with a definite level in a range lower than dew condensation detecting objective humidity but also an abruptly reduced resistance value in a range higher than said humidity. CONSTITUTION:An electrode E comprising a thick film paste such as a ruthenium paste is provided to both surfaces of a porous sintered body bulk B comprising Y2O3 or Y2O3+ZrO2 type ceramic to form humidity-sensitive elements I, II. An external shortcircuit circuit III having a resistance value of 10 -10 OMEGA is connected to both elements I, II in parallel to constitute a dew condensation preventing sensor. Then, a resistance value with a definite level is obtained in a range of dew condensation detecting objective humidity or less by the external shortcircuit circuit III and an abruptly reduced resistance value is obtained in a range of said objective humidity or more by the humidity-sensitive elements I, II to provide switching characteristics. Therefore, stable operational characteristics not changed with the elapse of time and improved in reproducibility can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To compensate the poorness in the thermal pressure bonding (fusing) property to a case of a filter film itself, by preliminarily bonding the filter film to a mesh made of a material having good in the thermal pressure bonding (fusing) property with the case and using the same as a filter film with a mesh. CONSTITUTION:In a sensor wherein a humidity-sensitive element 1 is received in a case 7 having a filter window 8, a filter film 10 with a mesh formed by preliminarily bonding a filter film 10 to a mesh 12 comprising a material good in the thermal pressure bonding (fusing) property with the case 7 is mounted to a filter window frame by thermally bonding (fusing) the mesh 12 thereto under pressure. The material of the mesh 12 should be same to the constitutional material of the case 7 or have the good thermal pressure bonding (fusing) property with said case 7 and, for example, polypropylene or Teflon is used to the case made of polypropylene. The void size of the mesh 12 is set to about 30-250mum and the thickness thereof to 50-150mum. The filter film 10 is pref. formed of a chlorine-containing polymer such as chloroethylene and the thickness thereof is set to about 20-200mum and the void ratio thereof to about 35-85%.
