The absolute value of the toner electrostatic charge quantity(triboelectric charge quantity) Qn of the developer becomes larger at the preceding stage of the transfer order. That means, the relation of 15>12>8>6 is attained. Preferably, |Q1|>=1.3|Q2|, |Q2|>=1.3|Q3| and |Q3|>=1.3|Q4|are attained. In such a case, the relation is satisfied by 15>=1.3×11, 11>=1.3×8 and 8>=1.3×6.

Thus, charge remaining on the belt after image forming is finished and the transfer material is peeled is eliminated to such an extent that an adverse influence is not exerted on transferring by the time a next transfer cycle is started, and the image is formed without providing an AC corona destaticizer for destaticizing a transfer material carrying member which is necessitated in the conventional device and which produces ozone the most.

    • PURPOSE:To stabilize potential at which an image carrier is charged so as to enable images of good qualify to be obtained by rotating the image carrier for a predetermined time when no image is formed, and charging the surface of the image carrier using a contact charging means. CONSTITUTION:A bias is applied to a charging brush 4 from a DC constant voltage source, and the overall surface of a photoconductor 1 is uniformly charged to minus by the charging brush 4, and a developing machine 2 causes a toner to be fused to an electrostatic latent image formed by an exposure means 5, to form a toner image on the photoconductor 1. In order to stabilize the initial condition of service in which such contact charging is employed, when a process unit is mounted on the machine, it is first determined whether or not the process unit is new. When the process unit is new, initializing action in which a predetermined bias is applied to the charging brush 4 while the photoconductor 1 is rotated without operating a transfer means is performed for a predetermined period of time (one minute or so). Charging potential in the initial condition is thus stabilized and the quality of images enhanced.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a transfer defect by using the above sheet in an electrostatic recorder which transfers the developer image on an image carrying member onto an image receiving sheet for recording by an elastic transfer roller and providing a specific volume resistivity on the sheet. CONSTITUTION:This sheet is used in the electrostatic recorder which transfers the developer image on the image carrying member 2 by the elastic transfer roller 1 to the image receiving sheet 3 for recording and has 10 to 10 OMEGA.cm volumetric resistivity. The transfer roller 1 is formed by using expandable silicone rubber dispersed with conductive fine particles as a base roller 6, coating the surface of the base roller 6 with a conductive resin layer 7 having about 10 OMEGA surface resistance at 100mum thickness and further, coating the surface thereof with an expandable resin layer 8 having about 10 to 10 OMEGA surface resistance at 100mum thickness. A sufficient current flows to a transfer section and consequently, the toner transfer is sufficiently executed when a specified bias voltage is applied to the transfer roller 1. The transfer defects such as drop-out of printing images, such as characters, or image plane, etc., in the transferred images are prevented and the stable transferred images are obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To make temporary reinforcement to the extent of installation easily mountable or demountable and prevent any crack or the like from occurring in a doorway frame by bolting a triangular boxlike reinforcing plate to a corner part of the doorway frame via a fitting patch and then connecting a lower reinforcing material attached to each lower end of both vertical frames to the reinforcing plate aslant by means of diagonal bracing. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing plate 5 made up of bending each end of two sides of a right angle in a triangular plate into an L-shaped form is covered on an orthogonal corner part 4 of a doorway frame 1, and a bending part 6 and a vertical frame 2 are held in between with a fastener 7 and clamped by a bolt. Next, a patch 8 is placed on the backside of a horizontal frame 3, and this patch 8 is pressed by the bolt in mesh with a screw thread of the reinforcing plate 5, thus the reinforcing plate 5 is locked tight. Then, a lower reinforcing material 9 is attached to each lower end of symmetrical vertical frames 2 by means of spot welding, preventing these symmetrical vertical frames 2, 2 from being opened, and further these symmetrical reinforcing plates 5, 5 are connected to the lower reinforcing material 9 aslant by a diagonal bracing 10, and this diagonal bracing 10 is bolted of its upper end to the reinforcing plate 5, while the lower end is joined to the lower reinforcing material 9 by means of spot welding.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the deterioration of image quality in a transfer process by sticking developer having small grain size which is produced by a polymerization method to an electrostatic latent image so that the image may be developed and pressing a material to be transferred to the developed image so that the image may be transferred. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic charger 3, a developing device 4, a transfer roller 21, a cleaning device 6, and a static eliminator 7 are disposed on the periphery part of a photosensitive drum 2, and a resist roller 14, a transfer roller 21, a fixing roller 15 and a paper ejecting roller 16 are disposed along a paper conveying direction in a conveyance path 13. At the time of forming the image, the electrostatic latent image is formed on the surface of the photosensitive drum 2 which is uniformly electrostatically charged by the charger 3 by an exposing means 8. By sticking the developer having small grain size which is produced by the polymerization method to the electrostatic latent image, the image is developed. Then, the material to be transferred is pressed to contact with the developed image so that the image may be transferred. Thus, the image quality is not deteriorated in the transfer process, the fluidity of the developer having small grain size is enhanced, and the excellent image quality that there is no omission of character or line is obtained.

CONSTITUTION:Paper P is thrown in between a photosensitive drum 2 and a transfer roller 21 by carrying force of an aligning roller 14, and to a shaft 22 of the transfer roller 21, a transfer bias of + polarity is applied in advance, and a toner image on the photosensitive drum 2 is transferred to the paper P. Pressing force to the photosensitive drum 2 of the transfer roller 21 is given by a spring 26, and when the transfer roller 21 is used, the adhesion to the photosensitive drum 2 of the paper P is improved, and a transfer blur is reduced. In such a way, even in the case a small particle diameter developer is used, since an image is transferred physically by bringing a material to be transferred to press-contacting, a faithful transfer in which an incomplete transfer scarcely occurs and the image scarcely scatters can be executed.

    • PURPOSE:To satisfactorily transfer an image to a thick transfer material having a hard transfer surface by varying the pressing force of a transfer member to an image carrier in accordance with the classification of the transfer material. CONSTITUTION:The pressing force of a transfer roll 3 to a photosensitive drum 1 is given by a spring 14, and the spring 14 is stretched between a supporting member 13 and a spring supporting member 15. The constant of the spring 14, the extent of displacement of the spring 14, the elastic modulus of the transfer roll 3, etc., are selected to adjust the pressing force to a prescribed value. A resistive sheet superior in flexibility where fine conductive particles consisting of a conductive carbon are dispersed in a resin like a polyester or rubber is used as a resistive layer 6 of the transfer roll 3. Therefore, the electric toner transfer condition is kept constant even at the time of supply of the transfer material different in thickness like a sheet of paper, an envelope, or a postal card or independently of humidity and temperature. Thus, a satisfactory image free from transfer omission is formed on a special transfer material.
