    • PURPOSE:To control the dislocation of connecting terminals for an LCD panel and a circuit board to minimum, to surely perform a connection by using a rubber connector and to reduce the mounting operation of the LCD panel by a method wherein the connecting width of terminals for positioning the LCD panel on the circuit board is made smaller than that of other connecting terminals. CONSTITUTION:The width of connecting terminals 25, 24 for positioning an LCD panel 13 on a circuit board 11 is made smaller than of other connecting terminals 22, 23. That is to say, when the continuity between the connecting terminals 25, 24 for positioning can be confirmed, the dislocation of the other connecting terminals 22, 23 is reduced. The continuity between the connecting terminals 25, 24 positioning is confirmed when an electric signal is made to flow and the display of the LCD panel 13 is confirmed visually. Thereby, the connecting terminals can be connected surely, the time for an alignment operation can be shortened sharply, and an advantage with reference to assembly costs is obtained. In addition, since it is not probable that just barely one continuity line 21 exists between the terminals 22, 23 for the LCD panel 13 and the circuit board 11, the reliability of the method with reference to an external force such as a vibration or a shock is enhanced.

    • PURPOSE:To mount an LCD panel to a circuit board at the thickness below the thickness of the entire part of the LCD panel and to suppress the generation of a conduction defect by connecting the LCD panel to the circuit board via anisotropic conductors with a tacky adhesive. CONSTITUTION:The LCD panel is constituted of upper glass 11 and lower glass 12. The circuit board 13 is previously provided with a through-hole to the extent that the lower glass 12 of the LCD panel enters the hole. The electrode parts 16 of the LCD panel are adhered to the upper pattern wirings 15 on the circuit board 13 via the anisotropic conductors with the tacky adhesives which are the mixture composed of tacky adhesive materials 17 and conductive particles 18. Then, the tacky materials can mount the LCD panel thinly to the circuit board 13 by the structural elements of the anisotropic conductors and the through-hole of the circuit board 13. In addition, there is no need for a frame for fixing the LCD panel in order to fix the LCD panel to the circuit board 13 and screws, etc., for mounting the LCD panel. The LCD panel is thus displayed by the simple mounting structure. The display is checkable from the opposite side of the LCD mounting surface of the circuit board 13.
