    • PURPOSE:To slacken the change of temperature of a heat exchanger in gradient so as to lessen incidental metallic sounds by a method wherein the start of the blower after an ignition is retarded and the volume of air sent by the blower is increased when the temperature of a heated part, such as the heat exchanger, has been raised to a specified point. CONSTITUTION:For the ignition, a timer is so set as to cause a blower 4, upon elapse of a specified time, to be run to give a flow of air at a minimum volume L independent of the degree of the combustion so that a sharp rise in the temperature of a heat exchanger 3 can be suppressed. Subsequently, when the temperature of a wall of an exhaust air box 14 rises above a specified temperature (to the ON range of a bimetallic switch 17), hence actuating the bimetallic switch 17, the blower 4 is made to assume its ordinary operation and give a flow of air at a volume in the range H-L adjusted to the degree of the combustion. For the extinguishment, the blower 4 is made to continue the operation at the rate for the volume of air set before the extinguishment and under this state the temperature of heat exchanger 3 is lowered. When the temperature of the wall of the exhaust air box 14 has fallen below a specified temperature (to the OFF range of the bimetallic siwtch 17), the operation of the blower 4 is lowered to a ratge for the minimum in volume of air and the release of heat from the heat exchanger 3 is continued. For this release of heat, the timer is so set as to stop the blower 4 after elapse of a specified time.

    • PURPOSE:To enable a stable combustion with less variation of concentration of CO2 in exhaust gas to be carried out by a method wherein an amount of combustion air and amount of fuel are increased or decreased substantially in a comparative manner according to a degree of load and an amount of combustion is adjusted in response to a temperature of combustion air heat exchanged with the exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:As an operation switch 29 is turned on, an amount of combustion air and an amount of oil are increased or decreased substantially in a comparative manner in response to a degree of load. Combustion is carried out in a burner 2 at an amount of combustion corresponding to a load while an air fuel ratio is being kept substantially constant. An air fuel ratio correcting means 25 may adjust a frequency of a fuel pump 5 in response to a temperature signal of combustion air heat exchanged with exhaust gas sent from an air temperature sensor 14. That is, at the beginning of combustion with a low combustion air temperature, an amount of fuel is much in compliance with an air specific weight and a lifting combustion is prevented and at the same time as the combustion air temperature is increased through a heat exchanging action with the exhaust gas so as to prevent a red heat combustion. Combustion under the most appropriate ratio always causes a concentration of CO2 in the exhaust gas to be substantially constant.

    • PURPOSE:To increase the capacity of a fuel tank and further make it possible to mount stably an oil level controller, by forming a recess in the corner portion of a fuel tank protruding from the back surface of a main case, putting an oil level controller in said recess to control the surface of oil in the oil tank at a predetermined level. CONSTITUTION:The width of a fuel tank 3 has a width nearly equal to that of a main case 1, while its depth T being longer than the distance L between the front surface 1A and the back surface 1B of the main case 1, allowing the back portion of said tank 3 to protrude backward from the back surface 1B of said main case 1, a recess 18 large enough to accommodate nearly all of an oil level controller 20 being formed in the protruding corner portion of the fuel tank 3. Fuel in a separately installed tank flows into the oil level controller 20 through a connection pipe 23 and is controlled by means of said oil level controller 20 and then fed into the fuel tank 3 through a communication pipe 22. Accordingly, oil level in the fuel tank can be surely maintained at a predetermined level without the adjustment of the height of the oil level controller.
