    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing steel pipes by a simple method of making a spiral pipe even when it is a thin small diameter pipe below 50 mmϕ.
SOLUTION: When a steel strip is worked and formed into a spiral shape by making the steel strip pass through forming rolls and made into the spiral steel pipe by welding adjacent edges each other at weld points, one bar body having a circular cross section, which is extended in the axial direction of the pipe on the side of the inner surface of the pipe is used in place of an internal forming roll group composed of a plurality of forming rolls which are arranged inside a spiral-shaped formed pipe. It is made possible to remarkably reduce a formable diameter when making the pipe, which has been depended on the diameter of a roll supporting shaft with which the inner surface forming roll group has been mounted and held up to now.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding method where, when galvannealed steel members are welded and joined, the corrosion resistance of the stock galvannealed steel members can be maintained without generating cracks at the weld zone and in the vicinity thereof.
SOLUTION: When steel members in which at least either is a galvannealed steel member are welded and joined, as a welding wire, the one having a ferritic stainless steel composition is used. Since the thermal expansion coefficient of the base material in the galvannealed steel member and the thermal expansion coefficient of a weld metal are close, after the welding and joining, the generation of cracks at the weld zone or in the vicinity thereof can be suppressed. Further, since the weld metal has a ferritic stainless steel composition, a welded structure further having excellent corrosion resistance can be obtained.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a welded section steel which has T-shaped joint parts, has no recesses at welded parts, and has a high jointing strength in a simple method when manufacturing it through a laser welding method. SOLUTION: A laser beam 4 is irradiated to the joining parts 3 of the ends of web materials while pushing the ends of the web materials 2 against flange materials 1 when manufacturing the welded section steel by forming the T-shaped joint parts by vertically pushing the ends of web materials 2 against the flange materials 1 both of which comprise a steel sheet through a laser welding. Preferably the laser beam 4 is irradiated with a tilt angle α of ≤30° to the flange material 1. This welding method is applied to the manufacture of the welded section steel using, as the flange material and web material, a plated steel sheet to which Zn-based plating, preferably alloy plating containing Zn and Al, or more preferably alloy plating containing Zn, Al, and Mg is applied. • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settled foundation restoring device capable of increasing the amount of recovery of a settlement foundation by improving the shape of an expansion steel pipe and using an auxiliary member.
SOLUTION: The expansion steel pipe comprises a deformed pipe body with a watertight structure in which cylindrical sleeves with strength high enough to prevent deformation from being caused by the addition of high water pressure are mounted at both ends, respectively. The pipe body comprises the expansion steel pipe and a spacer bar. The portion of the pipe body except the portion adjacent to the sleeve is composed of a flattened cross section in which one surface is generally flat and the opposed other surface has a recess at the lateral center, and so formed that an injection hole is formed in either of the sleeves. The spacer bar is placed on the recess of the expansion steel pipe. An increase in the height of the cross section of the pipe when the flattened cross section portion is expanded and deformed into a circular cross section by the injection of the high pressure water from the injection hole is utilized for the restoration of the settled foundation.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a metallic welded pipe which has a sound welded portion by preventing the oxidation of an inside surface bead through shifting spatters s having a bad effect on the welded portion toward the outlet side from the position just below the welding point W.
SOLUTION: An inside surface shielding jig 10 is used when a metallic welded pipe is manufactured by welding both end portions in the direction of the width of a metal strip bent in the direction of its width. An inlet side shielding material 12, which comes into contact with the inside peripheral surface of an open pipe shape metal strip S or a metallic welded pipe P at the position on the inlet side than the welding point W, is mounted on a spatter receiving member 11, which is inserted into the open pipe shape metal strip S or the metallic welded pipe P. A cooling water circulating passage 16 which turns back at the position on the outlet side than the welding point W is built in the spatter receiving member 11 in order to prevent the adhesion of the spatters s by cooling a flat upper surface 11a. A gas passage for supplying inert gas G toward the inside peripheral surface of the metallic welded pipe P in the neighborhood of the welding point W is opened inside the metallic welded pipe P via the inlet side shielding material 12. A spatter removing tool 15 is built in the jig in such a manner that the spatter removing tool 15 slides on the flat upper surface 11a along the travelling direction D of the metallic welded pipe P.
