摘要： PURPOSE: To satisfactorily improve recording and reproducing characteristics by making one part out of one pair of track parts recording-only structure and the other part reproducing-only structive. CONSTITUTION: A structure of this slider is equipped with one pair of yoke parts 58 and 60 in extension parts of one pair of air bearing parts 44 right and left of a slider main body 64, and is formed with the track parts 46 across a space between these yoke parts 58 and 60 and the slider main body 64 at the same height as the air bearing parts 44 to be projected from the surroundings. Then, one part of the track parts 46 formed across the space between the yoke parts 58 and 60 and the slider main body 64 has the recording only structure, while the other track part 46 has the reproducing only structure. Consequently, improvement of the recording characteristic and the reproducing characteristic is facilitated, and superior recording and reproducing characteristics can be obtained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain ferrite powder having small number of pore and able to give high density polycrystalline ferrite in low cost by pulverizing calcined ferrite in oxidizing state in calcining ferrite raw material and producing ferrite powder with pulverizing the calcined material. CONSTITUTION:Ferrite raw material composed of Fe2O3, MnO and ZnO, etc., is pulverized and calcined by ordinary method, then received in a vessel 1 of pulverizer together with water and many balls 2. Next, the calcined material is pulverized by revolving vessel 1 with supplying a gas containing oxygen from gas introducing port 3 to obtain ferrite powder. Polycrystalline ferrite having low pore fraction, high density and long growing length of single crystal ferrite is obtained by producing polycrystalline ferrite using resultant ferrite powder. Besides, H2O2 may be supplied into slurry of the calcined material instead of introducing oxygen-containing gas into the pulverizer vessel 1.

摘要： PURPOSE:To avoid the scratches of a track and a disk when a slider touch thereto by forming a narrow track on the extended line of an air bearing together with a wide projecting part formed on the extended line of said track and the low level difference parts formed around the track and the projecting part respectively. CONSTITUTION:A narrow track part 26 having the same level as an air bearing part 24 is formed on the extended line of the part 24. Then a projecting part 28 wider than the part 26 and narrower than the part 24 is formed on the extended line of the part 26 at the same level as the part 26. Furthermore the low level difference parts 46 are formed in the minute areas around those parts 28, 26 and 24 respectively. As a result, the part 26 is protected when a slider 44 touches a disk or floats up and the section area of a yoke part 38 can be reduced. Thus the increase of inductance is suppressed. Then the scratches caused to the slider and the disk when they touch to each other can be avoided and at the same time the resistance is improved to the high frequency. Thus the high-density recording is attained.

Thereby, it is possible to obtain a satisfactory contraction and lead-in effect compared with an on-going core for a mass-production magnetic head in which a groove working is performed on the track width regulating gap 42 by a grinding stone as keeping superior productivity or mass productivity, and also, to improve an off-track characteristic effectively based on a fringing effect.

The etched recesses having sloped wall surfaces 18 along the boundary lines 19 of the patterns are thereby formed on the surface formed with the mask of the above-mentioned ferrite single crystal.
