    • PURPOSE:To perform a high-speed full color recording by a method wherein a thermal diffusion coefficient of an insulating substrate disposed outside a pair of electrodes on a recording body discharge side is determined to be larger than that of an insulating substrate inside the pair of electrodes and that of an insulating substrate outside the pair of electrodes on a recording body insertion side. CONSTITUTION:When a signal current is applied to a pair of electrodes 14, 15, an opposed resistant sheet 21 generates heat, and the dye of a colorant layer 22 of an ink sheet 2 is transferred and recorded on an image receiving body 3. In this case, in a conduction head 1, a thermal diffusion coefficient of an insulating substrate 11 outside the pair of electrodes on a recording body insertion side and that of an insulating substrate 12 inside the pair of electrodes are determined to be smaller than that of an insulating substrate 13 disposed outside the pair of electrodes on a recording body discharge side. Therefore, the heat generated in the resistant sheet 21 is effectively used for transferring the dye. In this manner, a high-speed, high-sensitive full color recording can be performed, and a large and uniform recording dot can be formed.

    • PURPOSE:To perform a high-speed, high-sensitivity full color recording by a method wherein in an electric conduction head formed by embedding electrodes in an insulating substrate a high-resistant, heat-resistant, lubricating layer is formed at least on the surface of the electric conduction head made of the electrodes and the insulating substrate. CONSTITUTION:In an electric conduction head 2 having, e.g., a pair of electrodes 23a, 23b opposed to each other, the application of a signal voltage between the electrode pair 23a, 23b causes an electric current to flow through a high- resistant, heat-resistant, lubricating layer 5 of the upper part of the head 2 vertically to the layer and further through a resistant sheet 11 in parallel to the sheet. Joule heat can be mainly generated in the resistant sheet 11 by its resistance value design. At this time, the high-resistant, heat-resistant, lubricating layer 5 on the surface of the electrodes plays the role of preventing an oxidative deterioration during recording and running. A recording head capable of preventing the convergence of a current density in the resistant sheet 11 and suitable for a gradation recording is formed. Moreover, the lubricating properties of the surface of the head 2 realize a stable recording and running without the occurrence of wrinkles in the resistant sheet 11.
