    • PURPOSE:To keep an input of a blower constant free from changes in the direction of a nozzle and the amount of dust by setting and storing firing time of a bidirectional conducting element driving an electric blower provided on a vacuum cleaner for the longest and the shortest time to control the firing time. CONSTITUTION:A vacuum cleaner 20 is provided with a controller 21 to keep an input power constant. A pressure detecting section 23 decreases in resistance value according to a pressure and an output thereof is amplified 27 and undergoes an A/D conversion 28 to be inputted into a control section 22. A timing generating section 32 inputs a phase control reference pulse into the control section 22 at each zero crossing. A power source switch 30 and a setting switch 31 are turned ON and a nozzle is put in the air to input the maximum input voltage when a suction pressure is at its maximum into a memory 1. The nozzle is put on a carpet and the minimum input voltage is inputted into a memory 2 when the suction pressure is at its minimum. The control section 22 controls firing time of a bidirectional conducting element 24 relying on the power information as mentioned above. This enables the keeping of an input of a blower constant free from changes in the direction of the nozzle and the amount of dust.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress an input to an electric blower when a floor nozzle is operated upward in the air by determining a correction value due to pressure information by a linear approximation to control a pressure in the inside of a dust collection chamber or the like with the correction of variations in the apparatus. CONSTITUTION:When a floor nozzle is put in the air, a suction pressure is at its maximum. At this point, an input power is also at its maximum. When the floor nozzle is put on a carpet or the like, the suction pressure is almost at its minimum. Phase firing angle time determining an input power of a cleaner other than that is decided by linear approximation. A signal level from an A/D conversion section 26 is always kept constant with a control section 29. For example, when the floor nozzle is put on the carpet from the air to start a cleaning, the amount of the air sucked reduces and a pressure lowers with a less sucking load of an electric blower. Pressure change is checked with a pressure detector 22 and an output signal level of the A/D conversion 26 rises. To raise the pressure of the electric blower 20, the control section 29 works to advance a phase firing angle so that a pressure value of the electric blower 20 is put back to the original level thereby achieving a constant pressure control.

    • PURPOSE:To provide an electric vacuum cleaner, with which the revolving speed of a fan motor can finely be decided so as to suit the dust amount, dust type, and the traits of floor surface and which can perform cleaning with a suction force which suits to the domestic conditions of the user's house. CONSTITUTION:An electric vacuum cleaner comprises a dust amount sensing means 6 to sense the amount of dust from the output of a dust sensor 1, a dust type sensing means 7 to sense the type of the dust, a dust change rate sensing means 8 to sense the rate of dust changing, and a memory means which stores at certain time intervals the values given by these means. A fuzzy inferential device 9 to decide the revolving speed of a fan motor 12 through fuzzy inference made on the basis of the outputs of the dust amount sensing means 6, dust type sensing means 7, and dust change rate sensing means 8 alters the revolving speed inferential rule according to the contents of the memory means 10, and thus a fine determination of the fan motor revolving speed can be made.

    • PURPOSE:To know the standard of the time required for cleaning, and the operations such as a change of a filter, rejection of dust. etc., by converting an output of a dust sensor provided on a dust passage to a pulse signal, and providing a display part by which the dust quantity can be observed visually and confirmed by a user's operation, based on its number of pulses as a reference. CONSTITUTION:A signal of a light receiving part 2 of a dust sensor 5 provided with a light emission diode 1 and the light receiving part 2 opposed thereto is amplified by an amplifying part 4, subjected to waveform shaping by a pulse converting part 5 and inputted to a microcomputer 6. The microcomputer 6 is provided with a counting means 7, a totaling part 8, a timer part 9, and a fuzzy inference part 10. The counting means 7 counts the number of passing of dust in a unit time, and its totaling is executed by the totaling part 8. Subsequently, when a confirmation switch 12 or a turn-off switch 13 attached to the cleaner is depressed, the contents of the totaling part 8 are displayed by turning on a lamp 14 of the cleaner main body.
