    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively and objectively evaluate pollution-preventing properties with respect to oil scorching polluting of various materials. SOLUTION: A test piece deposited with an oil component is heated, oil components that are not scorched are thereafter wiped out with fabrics, the test piece generated therein with the oil scorching polluting is compared with that of a criteria sample as to the oil scorching polluting prepared preliminarily to evaluate the polluting properties with respect to the oil scorching polluting of the material. The test piece, deposited with the oil component, may be heated at 100-400°C using an electric furnace, in a method of generating the pseudo-oil scorching polluting in the test piece. The wiping process by the fabrics may include at least a process for fixing the test piece, after being heated, and for wiping the oil component under a load-applied condition, using paper or cloth having an oil absorbing properties. In particular, a plurality of samples with the degrees of the oil scorching polluting varied stepwise is used as the criteria samples, and the polluting level of the sample is collated with the pseudo-oil scorching polluting in the test piece repeated with the process for generating the pseudo-oil scorching polluting, so as to evaluate the pollution-preventing properties of the material.
