    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a gasification speed and improve a processing efficiency by jetting fluidizing gas from a bottom part, throwing waste in a fluid bed in which a fluid medium flows to thermally decompose it and melting the produced thermally decomposed residue under the combustion heat of thermal decomposition gas. SOLUTION: A fluid medium 3a is fluidized by fluidizing gas jetted from a diffuser 2 provided on the bottom of a furnace to form a fluid bed 3. Then, when municipal waste is thrown in, the municipal waste is thermally decomposed in a fluid bed furnace 1. Thermally decomposed residue produced at this time is melted by a rotary melting furnace 20 using thermal decomposition gas produced in the fluid bed furnace 1 as a fuel and a part of exhaust gas after combustion is circulated as the fluidizing gas of the fluid bed furnace 1. Namely, high temperature exhaust gas generated in the melting furnace 20 is branched by a branch mechanism 17 via a first heat exchanger 14 and a second heat exchanger 15 for heating the fluid medium 3a. A part of the exhaust gas is supplied to a third heat exchanger 16 and then exhausted and a remaining part thereof is supplied to the diffuser 2 as the fluidizing gas.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a trash character-detecting method for trash incineration furnace, which can accurately detect the character of trash such as moisture content, etc., before the trash is input in an incineration process zone, or at an extremely early stage after the input. CONSTITUTION: A trash incineration furnace is equipped with a push-in input mechanism 5 which pushes trash into the furnace from a push-in input port 2a, stoker type incineration process zone 6 which is located under the push-in input port 2a and incinerates the trash being fed by dropping from the push-in input port 2a while carrying it, and a radiation temperature measuring instrument 1, at a location which faces the push-in input port 2a from the downstream side of the incineration process zone 6. Then, the surface temperature of a cross section part of the trash, which is generated by a dropping from the push-in input port 2a to the incineration process zone 6 is detected by the radiation temperature measuring instrument 1, and the character of the trash is assumed based on a time variation of the surface temperature which is detected by the radiation temperature measuring instrument 1.

The detection wavelength region of the array type light reception element 7 is set to a wavelength region containing the near infrared ray region between 0.5-1.0mum, thus changing the sample position where the flux of rays for measurement is transmitted.

CONSTITUTION:An incinerator comprises a refuse hopper 3, a burning chamber 2 an ash pit 4, etc., of incinerated ash. Dry and burning airs are supplied to a lower part of the chamber 2 via a supply passage 17 having a plurality of dampers D by a blower 16. First and second radiating temperature measuring means 19, 20 for measuring radiating energies of burnt gas component and unburnt gas component in specific wavelength bands (4.3, 3.3mum of the bands) are arranged in the chamber 2. An excess or insufficient state of air supply quantity is identified by identifying means 23B of a burning controller 23 based on the measured results, and openings of stoker means for conveying refuse and the dampers D are controlled in response to the identified result by burning control means 23C.
