    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide nitriding treatment facilities for a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet that are extremely useful in obtaining superior magnetic characteristics having no variance by carrying out a suitable nitriding treatment before secondary re-crystallization and then dispersing inhibitor forming elements uniformly to the overall length and overall width of a strip when manufacturing a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet.SOLUTION: There are provided facilities that perform a continuous nitriding treatment on strips threaded successively after cold rolling and before secondary re-crystallization annealing in a manufacturing line for a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet. The facilities include a nitriding treatment zone where the strip is subjected to the nitriding treatment, a cooling zone where the strip is cooled, and a heating zone where the strip is heated before the nitriding treatment zone when necessary. In the nitriding treatment zone, an electrode for glow discharge is installed, and a plasma nitriding treatment is carried out on the strip, serving as a negative pole, through a glow discharge while the electrode for glow discharge serves as a positive pole.
