    • PURPOSE: To prevent the outflow of a large amount of crud to the treated-water side when an electric source of an electromagnetic coil for an electromagnetic filter is disconnected.
      CONSTITUTION: In normal operation, water to be treated is flowed into an electromagnetic filter 1 and is then flowed into a matrix 3 excited by an electromagnetic coil 2, and the crud incorporating in the water is removed. When an electric source of the coil 2 is disconnected, the crud captured in the matrix 3 is captured by a strainer 6. A differential pressure gauge 7 is provided to the strainer 6. A signal is transmitted at the time when the collected crud is attained a prescribed value (about 0.2W1.5kgf/cm
      2 ) to close automatic valves 8 placed at the inlet and outlet sides of the filter 1 and to open an automatic valve 10 of a pass line 9. Thus, the outflow of a large amount of the crud is prevented. Even in case when the electric source of the coil 2 of the filter 1 is disconnected, the device is securely separated from the system.

    • PURPOSE:To save the consumption of oxygen and to prevent the hot well from corrosion by a method wherein in the device of the title hot well of the main condenser used in a boiling type small-sized atomic power plant, a zigzag waterway in the hot well is covered with a covering member provided with a condensed water passage, oxygen injection nozzles are arranged in the hot well and the amount of injection of oxygen is so adjusted that a desired density of oxygen dissolved in the hot well is obtained. CONSTITUTION:When oxygen is injected into the hot well 5 through the oxygen injecting nozzles 18a and 18b, most of the injected oxygen is absorbed in the condensed water in the hot well as it floats in the water and an unabsorbed part of the oxygen floating on the surface 19 of the condensed water stands in a closed vessel formed of a baffle plate 6 and a partition plate 20 to be finally absorbed in the water from the surface 19. In this case, the amount of oxygen dissolved in the condensed water is measured by a dissolved oxygen meter 23, the measured value is inputted to a DO adjuster 22 and the amount of oxygen to be injected into the hot well is so controled by an adjust valve 24 that the density of the dissolved oxygen becomes approximately in the order of 20- 4,000PPb which is suitable for preventing the hot well system from corrosion. Thus, with the above structure, it is possible to save the consumption of oxygen and to maintain the hot well in an optimum anticorrosive condition to thereby prevent the hot well from corrosion.
