SOLUTION: This color cathode-ray tube is equipped with an accelerating electrode 9, a second kind electron lens having a diverging action in the horizontal direction in parallel with a horizontal plane with respect to the proceeding direction of an electron beam, by forming a non-axisymmetrical electron lens from an electrode 7 for applying a constant first focusing voltage to the inside of a focusing electrode divided into multiple electrodes 3-8 and an electrode 6 for applying a second focusing voltage which changes with the deflection quantity and also having a focusing actin in the vertical direction perpendicular to the horizontal direction, and the third kind electron lens having a focusing action in the horizontal direction with respect to the proceeding direction of the electron beam, by forming a non-axisymmetrical electron lens from an electrode 5 to apply the first focusing voltage and the electrode 6 and also having a diverging action in the vertical direction. A principal lens, the second kind electron lens and the third kind electron lens are arranged in this order from a screen side toward a three-pole part direction.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously perform the surface treatment of a plurality of samples controlled at a fixed temperature, and take out and carry them one by one by pressing the samples set on a pedestal provided on a tray onto the pedestal with a prescribed surface pressure within a vacuum testing device. SOLUTION: A sample set in a shallow groove of the same form as a sample 41 provided on the pedestal 20 of a sample carrying tray 10 so as not to be moved is fixed with a prescribed surface pressure by the rotation of a pressing tool 31 threaded in the inner surface. Thus, since a prescribed thermal conductivity is provided between the tray 10 and the sample 41, the temperature of the sample 41 is controlled in test. An L-shaped groove 50 provided on the pressing tool 31 is used when the pressing tool 31 is removed by a removing tool 60. The tip part of a sample holding tool 70 is inserted to a stepped part provided on the sample 41, whereby the sample 41 is taken out one by one with a minute force. The form of the pedestal 20 is designed so that a sample 42 differed in from can be treated on the same tray 10.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate deterioration in focusing performance and display a high quality image with no moire in the whole region of a screen by specifying the ratio of the length of a fourth electrode and that of a fifth electrode to a focusing lens aperture in a relational expression. CONSTITUTION:If the ratio A of the length in the axial direction of a fourth electrode 5 to a previous focusing lens aperture is made large, the beam diameter incident on a main lens is made large. If the ratio B of the length in the axial direction of a fifth electrode 6 to a previous focusing lens aperture is made small, the beam diameter is made small. If the relation of A and B is specified so as to be shown in formulas I-IV, the ratio B comes within a specified region, the ratio of the spot diameter of a screen circumference to the spot diameter of a screen center becomes adequate. Since the relation of the ratio A to the ratio B comes within the specified region, the problems of voltage resistance and component production are solved, and a high quality image with almost no moire can be provided.
