    • PURPOSE:To uniform the temperature in each stage for a multichamber refrigerator by installing a resistor in a cooled air duct installed to the rear side of a refrigerator and installing a plurality of air outlets which feed cooled air to the refrigerator to the cooled air duct. CONSTITUTION:A hole 7 is bored on a resistor 6 installed inside a cooled air duct 1 at the rear side of a refrigerator. A part of cooled air 3A which has flown into the cooled air duct 1 is adapted to flow out from an air outlet 2 partially to the refrigerator as cold air 3B and partially to a chilled chamber or a vegetable chamber as cold air 3C. The cold air 3A, since its gravity is heavy, indicates that the cold air tends to flow in the vertical direction affected by the effect of buoyancy while a pressure loss is produced in the vertical direction by the resistor 6 installed in the cooled air duct 1. Therefore, it is possible to increase the volume of cold air 3b from the air outlet 3 when the resistor 6 is installed inside the cooled air duct 1. This construction makes it possible to control the dischange volume of cold air in each stage into the refrigerator with resistor installed inside the cold air duct 1 and uniform the temperature distribution in the refrigerator.

    • PURPOSE:To enable comfortable heating operation efficiently by installing heat sources in the same arrangement as the fins of an outdoor heat exchanger, adjusting the ambient temperature of the outdoor heat exchanger, controlling the temperatures of the fins and cooling tubes of the outdoor heat exchanger and holding a refrigerating cycle. CONSTITUTION:The ambient temperature of an outdoor heat exchanger 1 is measured by a temperature measuring instrument 6. The measured value and a value (such as 7 deg.C) previously set to a setter 8 are compared in a comparator 7, a signal is output only when the value is higher than the value of the setter 8, and a panel heater 4 is turned ON. Consequently, the ambient temperature of the outdoor heat exchanger 1 is measured by the temperature measuring instrument 6, and the panel heater 4 is ON-OFF controlled so that the ambient temperature is brought to approximately at all times. Accordingly, a refrigerant flowing in the outdoor heat exchanger 1 can be evaporated at 0 deg.C or higher, the surface temperatures of the radiation fins 2 and cooling tubes 3 of the outdoor heat exchanger 1 do not reach 0 deg.C or lower, and the growth of frost layers 5 can be prevented. The frost layers 5 adhering on the radiation fins 2 and cooling tubes 3 of the outdoor heat exchanger 1 fall.

    • PURPOSE:To prohibit the infiltration of sodium Na mists into a shaft sealing part by providing plural longitudinal grooves, the bottom ends of which arrive at the bottom ends of the through-part of an upper shielding body in the outer static part of an annular gap enclosing the driving shaft of a prime mover. CONSTITUTION:An Na mist trap 32 extended and formed with plural pieces of the longitudinal grooves 31 having a rugged shape on the circumferential surface up to the region of a cover gas 12 is constituted on th inside wall sur face of the annular gap 27 of the gamma ray shielding body 25 having a wide gap. The gaseous mixture in the gap 27 forms rotating flow cooperatively with the rotation of a pump shaft 21 and the Na mists of the large mass segregate to the outer side of the gap 27. Centrifugal force is, however, lost by the grooves 31 in the trap 32 part and the Na mists are gathered therein; in addition, a reduced pressure state is generated in the recessed parts by the cavity flow state and the gathering of the Na mists to the recesses is further promoted. Vortexes are thus formed in the recesses and the Na mists are concd. therein. The condensate flows through the grooves 31 and is returned to an Na pool.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the comfortable property of space heating upon defrosting operation without breaking a refrigerating cycle upon the defrosting operation by a method wherein an outdoor heat exchanger is provided with a heat transfer device while the heat transfer device is provided with a means introducing the gasified refrigerant of a compressor thereinto. CONSTITUTION:The heat of high-temperature high-pressure gasified refrigerant from a compressor 1 is transferred to the fins 10 and the cooling pipes 11 of an outdoor heat exchanger 4 by utilizing the latent heats of evaporation and condensation of the heat medium 13 of a heat transfer device 12 to remove frost, adhered to the fins 10 and the cooling pipes 11, by rising the temperatures of them while a two-way valve 7 for defrosting is closed to return to ordinary space heating operation when the defrosting operation is finished. The title air-conditioning machine is so constituted that the high-temperature high-pressure gas from the compressor 1 is returned to a liquid receiver 6 after condensing it by the outdoor heat exchanger 4 and, therefore, the refrigerant is brought into the condition of low-temperature low-pressure liquid at all times when the refrigerant flows into the cooling pipe 9 of the outdoor heat exchanger 4. Accordingly, the defrosting operation may be effected under a condition that a refrigerating cycle, formed upon the space heating operation, is maintained as it is.

    • PURPOSE:To efficient perform the defrosting by using separate outdoor heat exchangers which respectively have their own defrosting means, and controlling the defrosting operation based on the detected room temperature. CONSTITUTION:When the room temperature is high enough and exceeds the temperature set by a temperature setting unit 18, a signal is outputted from a comparator 19. Then, a timer 20a is alone started, and the signal is inputted to a compressor 1 and electrical heaters 12a, 12b. The compressor 1 assumes the 'STOP' condition when the signal is inputted and the 'START' when there if not input. The electrical heaters 12a, 12b assume the 'ON' condition when the signal is inputted and the 'OFF' when there is no input. Because of this, the start of the timer 20a causes the compressor to be stopped, the heaters 12a, 12b to go on, and a separate type outdoor heat exchanger 11 starts its defrosting operation. When the timer 20a counts up and the defrosting operation is completed thereafter, the input signal to the compressor 1 and electrical heaters 12a, 12b is terminated, which causes the compressor 1 to start and the electrical heaters 12a, 12b to go off to return to the normal heating operation.
