    • PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of a signal-to-noise ratio even if there is a slight positioning error when information is reproduced again, by arranging an erasing head so that there will be no old information left at both side parts where information is written. CONSTITUTION:Gap 1 that provides the writing and reproduction of information is made up of core lengths 2 and 3 and core length 3 constitutes the slider part partially. At both side parts of the slider, two rails 5 and 6 are provided and those float the core slider over a medium. Extra gaps 7 and 8 are provided at positions relative to the write and reproduction cores and those form two erasing heads by core legs 9 and 10, and 11 and 12. Gap 13, formed between both the erasing head, is equal in width to the gap of the reproducing head. Two rails 5 and 6 of the slider has taper parts 14 and 15 at the erasing head side.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent irregularity of recording and reproducing by giving the number of degrees of freedom in non direction and the number of degrees of freedom in non direction or a specific direction to one slider and the other slider, which hold a magnetic disc between them, respectively and causing the disc to follow the height position of the other slider. CONSTITUTION:In respect to sliders 2 which hold magnetic disc 1 between them, upper slider 2 has the number of degrees of freedom in non direction so that a stable face contact for disc 1 can be obtained by gimbals flexure 4 and a prescribed contact pressure may be held by load spring 3. Lower slider 2 has the similar number of degrees of freedom due to gimbals 4 and is fixed to arm 6 by stopper 7 so that the relative height to the face of disc 1 may be optimum. Gimbals 4 is fixed to arm 6 through spacer 5. Upper and lower sliders 2 have the number of degrees of freedom for roll and pitch around pivot 9. Otherwise, two pivots 8 are provided only in the lower slider, and the number of degrees of freedom only in the pitching direction is given to the lower slider. Thus, the head can follow sufficiently deformation and warp of disc 1.
