摘要： PURPOSE:To decrease the number of failures, by counting the number of failed tape automatic threadings and controlling the tape payoff speed in response to the number of failed times. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 9 controls a file reel motor 2 and feeds a magnetic tape of a prescribed length in a certain speed from a reel 1. When the tip of a magnetic tape paid off reaches a reel 4 via a rotary head 3, a sensor 10 detects it, a machine reel motor 5 is rotated to wind the magnetic tape on the reel 4 to read or write data. When a failure of the 1st threading is detected at sensors 7 and 10, a counter 8 counts it, the control circuit 9 controls the file motor 2 to reverse the reel 1, which rewinds the magnetic tape. The 2nd threading is tried, the speed of the file reel motor 2 is slightly decreased and the rate of failures can be decreased.
