    • PURPOSE:To provide a heat sensitive recording paper which affords a clear and high density recording even in a high speed operation without sticking, piling or the like by applying a heat sensitive color developing layer on a base paper with a low density while the coated surface thereof is large in the optical contact rate. CONSTITUTION:A wood pulp such as LBKP is beaten at 300-400cc in terms of Canada standard freeness and made a paper with addition of a filler, a sizer and the like. The paper is pressed to make a wet paper with a water content 50- 70% generally, which is pressed dry preferably with a Yankee dryer to finish a base paper whose coated surface is more than 15% in the optical contact rate with a density of less than 0.9g/cm . Then, for example, a coat liquid in which a heat sensitive color developing material made up of an electron donating colorless dye and an electron accepting compound is dispersed in the form of fine particles is applied on the base paper to produce the intended recording paper having a heat sensitive color developing layer. The base paper is preferably 15-25g/m in cobb size.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a pressure-sensitive reproducing sheet with an improved pressure/developed color density characteristic by a structure wherein an applying layer containing plaster is formed between base paper and an applying layer including microcapsules which incorporate minute oil droplets containing electron imparting organic developers. CONSTITUTION:An applying layer containing plaster is formed between base paper and an applying layer including microcapsules which incorporate minute oil droplets into each of which are solved or dispersed electron imparting organic developers. The used microcapsules comprise minute capsules with the mean grain size of 1-20mum, each of which is composed of an oleaginous solution solved with basic colorless developers as the internal and a wall material coating the internal and formed of a high molecular substance which is insoluble with both aqueous and oleaginous solutions. As the developers are used crystal violet lactone, rhodamine B lactam, etc. which has such a property as permitting to give electrons and receiving protons such as acids to develop colors.

CONSTITUTION:On the paper which has such measured quantities of raw paper as 45g/m or less in weight and 1.5m or more in width and is coated with a layer of a color-developing agent (inorganic or organic acid, polyvalent metallic salts thereof etc.) on one surface thereof, a coating liquid which contains microcapsules, preferably, of 3.9-6.5mu in diameter of the particle averaged in volume (containing compounds whose rings are opened and divided, being in touch with the color-developing agent such as lactone and lactam, as color-forming agents) and has the ratio of a binder (e.g. styrene-butadiene rubber latex etc.) to the solid part in a coating liquid for a layer of color-forming agents, preferably, of 6-20wt% is coated at the coating speed of 340m/min. or more, thereby the aimed paper having intermediate thickness and the coated-paper air permeability of 1,000 sec. or less being obtained.
