摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-blast circuit breaker contributing to reduction of consumption energy and miniaturization of an apparatus by reducing drive force required for a buffer cylinder. SOLUTION: Plural relieving holes 30 and negative pressure preventing holes 31 for allowing a compression chamber 16 to communicate with a space 25 in a vessel are formed at the tip part of a buffer piston 8 by three each and six as a whole at every 60 deg.. In relation to the relieving holes 30, a doughnut-like plate 32 is mounted on the side of an exhaust port 27 as a lid, and pressed against the relieving holes 30 by springs 33 dispersedly arranged at three positions. A plate 34 is mounted on the compression chamber 16 side as a lid for each hole 31, and the plate 34 is screwed to the buffer piston 8 with a certain play and distance secured so as to be tightly fitted to and slid separably on the hole 31.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cause pressure rise in a compression chamber after operation in a medium opening term, without uselessly releasing gas in the compression chamber during operation in an initial opening term, by using a blocking means for opening/closing an opening of a movable cylinder in addition to a communication hole of an operation rod. SOLUTION: A fixed contact portion 2 and a movable contact portion 3 are opposed to each other in a container 1 filled with arc-extinguishing gas. The fixed contact portion 2 contains a fixed arc contact 4 and a current contact 5 while the movable contact portion 3 contains a movable cylinder 6, a hollow operation rod 7, a movable arc contact 8, an insulating nozzle 9, a movable current contact 10 and a piston to form a compression chamber 13. The movable cylinder 6 and the operation rod 7 are provided with an opening 16 and a communication hole 17, respectively. The outer periphery of the operation rod 7 is provided with a rotary shutter 20 consisting of a cylindrical blocking cylinder 21 and an annular blocking plate 22, which is rotated in engagement with a piston 12 for opening/closing the communication hole 17 and the opening 16.

After the operating force of the energy-storing spring reaches a point 4 exceeding the load force, since it exceeds the load force 11 converted from the coefficient of dynamic friction, the movable contact is driven only by the energy-storing spring.
