    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrothermal crystallization method for micro-porous crystals (aluminosilicate, aluminophosphate or the like) that can give a large single crystal useful as a molecular sieve, electronic devices, sensor or the like. SOLUTION: As resources for the elements constituting the skeleton of the micro-porous crystal (Si, Al, P, O and the like) among raw materials to be subjected to the reaction, are employed the bulks of the compounds containing these elements (silica, alumina, phosphoric acid or the like). These bulks have particles sizes that they cannot pass through the sieve of 0.5 mm mesh. Their shape may be any of lumps, plates, tubes and others. The usual reaction conditions for hydrothermal crystallization are applied in this process other than that the raw materials are used in the bulk forms. In comparison with the conventional synthetic process where the raw materials are used in the form of finely pulverized powders, the elution rates of the skeleton-constituting elements are suppressed and their super-saturation is decreased whereby the formation of crystal nucleuses are inhibited and the growth of the crystal is promoted. Thus, crystals with large sizes exceeding several hundred μm can be readily obtained.
