CONSTITUTION: The picking section 2 of a key plate material 1 is covered with a picking plate 10 made of a synthetic resin. The picking plate 10 consists of a covering plate section 20 and a holding plate section 30, and the covering plate section 20 has an inserting hole 23, into which the picking section 2 of the key plate material 1 is inserted. The holding plate section 30 holds the covering plate section 20 under the state, in which the picking section 2 is inserted to the covering plate section 20. Notched sections 25 exposing both side faces of the picking section 2 are formed to the covering plate section 20, and a pair of side plate sections 31, 31 being fitted into the notched sections 25 of the covering plate section 20 and closing both exposed side faces of the picking section 2 are mounted oppositely to the holding plate section 30. An engaging hole 4 is formed to the picking section 2 of the key plate material 1 and engaging projections engaged with the engaging hole 4 to each side plate section 31 of the holding plate section 30 respectively.
