    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for a hydrothermal reaction which can start the reaction in a short time and minimize the amount of wastewater produced by the reaction, and an apparatus for the reaction. SOLUTION: A three-way valve V8 is adjusted, and kerosene 26 is circulated through a combustible circulating passage 25 and pressurized to a pressure higher than that of a reactor 2. Water is pressurized similarly. Kerosene and air are introduced from a fuel introduction passage 13 into a high temperature, high pressure fluid producing apparatus 3 and burned, the produced high temperature, high pressure fluid is supplied to the reactor 2 to heat the reactor 2 preliminarily. Next, three-way valves V8 and V5 are adjusted, and the pressurized kerosene 26 and the pressurized water 27 are supplied to a supply apparatus 11 and then supplied from the supply apparatus 11 to the reactor 2 to be subjected to the hydrothermal reaction of the kerosene. The reactor 2 is further preheated by the reaction heat. When the reactor 2 is heated to a prescribed temperature, a pressurized treatment substance 28 is supplied into the reactor 2 to be subjected to the hydrothermal reaction with water kept in a supercritical or subcritical state.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrothermal reaction treatment apparatus in which a solid-gas-liquid separation mechanism for continuously and certainly separating a solid has a simple constitution and becomes compact, and the maintenance and the management of the mechanism are easy.
      SOLUTION: The hydrothermal reaction treatment apparatus is provided with a hydrothermal reaction device in which an object to be treated fed into a reaction container 21 is subjected to a hydrothermal oxidation reaction at the ultra-critical state or the subcritical state of water for the treatment in the reaction container 21; and a container 41 for separating the reaction product produced by this hydrothermal reaction device to the solid, the gas and the liquid. A feed port 42, a gas discharge port 43, a liquid discharge port 44 and a solid discharge port 45 are provided on the container 41 constituting the solid-gas-liquid separation mechanism such that the height becomes low in the order of the gas discharge port 43, the feed port 42, the liquid discharge port 44 and the solid discharge port 45. A cooling device 32 is arranged at a front side of the feed port 42.
