    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide film having merely a small difference of dimensional change in the longitudinal direction and width direction of the film, and having small absolute values in the respective dimensional changes, in which the flatness of the film is excellent.SOLUTION: The polyimide film includes a |CTEMD-CTETD| of less than 4 ppm, and a CTETD and a CTEMD of 8±3 ppm, respectively, wherein the CTEMD is the thermal expansion coefficient in the longitudinal direction of the film, and the CTETD is the thermal coefficient in the width direction. The film has surface projections formed of inorganic particles having an average diameter of 10 to 100 nm, and has a surface roughness Ra that is less than 5 nm.
