    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing an episulfide compound material which can efficiently convert an epoxy group into a thiirane group in converting the epoxy group of an epoxy compound into a thiirane group to obtain an episulfide compound and furthermore can increase the wet heat resistance of a cured product of the curable composition including the episulfide compound material.SOLUTION: The process for producing an episulfide compound material comprises converting the epoxy group of an epoxy compound into a thiirane group to obtain an episulfide compound. With the use of an epoxy compound having an aromatic ring and a sulfurizing agent, all epoxy groups or part of the epoxy groups of the epoxy compound is converted into a thiirane group. As the sulfurizing agent, an tetraalkylthiourea or a trialkylthiourea is used.
