    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize all an asynchronous memory device, a synchronous memory device operated in page mode, and a synchronous memory device operated in burst mode on one chip. SOLUTION: This composite memory device comprises first to third memory devices, a memory bus, and first to third memory controllers. The first memory device is the asynchronous memory device, the second memory device is the synchronous memory device operated in page mode, and the third memory device is the synchronous memory device operated in burst mode. The first to third memory controllers control transfer of data each between the first to third memory devices and the memory bus. The first to third memory devices are controlled by an external memory controller to exchange data with an external system bus. When any one of the first to third memory device exchanges data with the external system bus, the remaining two devices of the first to third memory devices exchange data via the memory bus.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for compensating wobble in a storage medium in a holographic digital data storage system. SOLUTION: The holographic digital data storage apparatus comprises a beam generator and a determining means and detects the wobble in the storage medium. The disk includes therein one or more holographically generated patterns. A beam generator projects at least two wobble detection beams to the holographically generated patterns. The wobble detection beams have different diffraction efficiencies provided at respective characteristic angles, wherein each characteristic angle is an angle between an optical path of one wobble detection beam and that of its corresponding pattern forming beam used in forming one of the holographically generated patterns and a diffraction efficiency is given by a ratio of a power of a diffracted beam of one of the wobble detection beams.
