    • PURPOSE:To control the temperature of a heat fixation area within a specified range by allowing an output adjusting member to move by a shape change of a shape storage alloy due to crystal transformation according to the temperature of the heat fixation area. CONSTITUTION:A heat fixing device consists of a heat roll 12 and a presser roll 13 and transfer paper is fed between both roll 12 and 13 as shown by an arrow to perform fixation. A platelike supporting member 14 is provided in parallel to the heat roll 12 near an upstream side in the rotating direction of the heat roll 12 and a temperature detector 15 is provided thereupon. This detector 15 consists of the shape storage alloy 19 wound freely extensional and contractional and in a spring shape around a supporting rod 18 fixed at both ends with L- shaped metallic fixtures 16 and 17; and this alloy 19 stores the contraction state previously at specified temperature and its one end is coupled with a coiled spring 23 through a coupling member 20, wire 21, and pulley 22. The alloy 19 detects a temperature rise of the heat roll 12 to attain the contraction state, so a spring 23 is drawn through the wire 21 to rotate the pulley 22 eventually, so that a power supplying means 26 controls the temperature of the heat roll 12.

    • PURPOSE:To exercise control over the resetting of an overheating preventing device easily without using a reset button, etc., by connecting a circuit, wherein a heating means is connected in parallel to the overheating preventing device, to the heating body and a power source in series in an electric hot air heater. CONSTITUTION:An overheating preventing device 2 is connected in series to the heating body of the heat collecting apparatus of an electric hot air heater, etc., and a heating body 3 is connected in prallel to the device 2. A switch 7 is closed to power up the heating body 1, thereby using the device in a saturated circuit state. If an abnormal state occurs, the device 2 operates to power down the heating body 1. In this state, the heating body 1 and heating body 3 form a series circuit and the resistance value of the heating body 3 is set greater than that of the heating body to connect the device 2 in an open state by the heat of the heating body 3. The abnormal state is reset and the switch 7 is opened to lower the temperature, so that the device is usable in the normal state. When the device 2 and heating body 3 are sealed in a container in an unchangeable state, the effect is obtained specially.
