    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color diffusion transfer photosensitive material by which a high sensitivity clear image in a diffusion transfer system can be obtained and which is excellent in uniformity of an image and by which an image rarely having chromatic turbidity and a stain can be obtained. SOLUTION: In a color diffusion transfer photosensitive material having a photosensitive element, an image receiving element and a developing processing element, it is composed of an alkaline processing composition which contains at least one kind of coloring reducing agent expressed by a formula and at least one kind of diffusive pigment forming coupler in either of photosensitive layers of a photosensitive element having a silver halide emulsion containing photosensitive layer of at least a single layer and on which the developing processing element neither contains a developing agent nor an auxiliary developing agent. In the formula, Cαrepresents a carbon atom. Z represents a carbamoyl group, an acyl group, an alkoxy carbonyl group and an aryl oxycarbonyl group, and Q represents an atomic group to form an unsaturated ring by bonding to Cα.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing an image receiving material having a high film surface pH using a low-pressure coating soln. at the time of producing an image receiving material contg. a complex compd. generating a base by the complexing reaction with a basic metal compd. such as zinc hydroxide sparingly soluble in acid. CONSTITUTION: An image receiving material having a base precursor liberating a base by a hydrophilic binder and a complexing reaction on a substrate is produced. In this case, a coating soln. to form at least one hydrophilic binder- contg. layer on the substrate on the side contg. a base precursor of the substrate contains a carbonate, and the pH of the film surface is controlled to >=9 after coating and drying. The pH of the film surface after drying is more preferably controlled to >=9.5 to promote the heat developability and transferability of the image receiving material. The effect of the carbonate is enhanced when the maximum pKa of the pKa of the base precursor is controlled to >=8.
