    • PURPOSE:To obtain a radar capable of narrow-width reception by discriminating a distance signal and a Doppler frequency by fast Fourier transformation at the same time. CONSTITUTION:A reflected wave from a target is passed through a transmission- reception switch 2 and branched to mixers 3 and 4 and branched waves are passed through a sampler 5 and an A/D converter 6 and processed through the fast Fourier transformation of a Fourier transformer 7 to obtain data on a frequency base. Then a discriminator 8 uses the output of the fast Fourier transformation to search for, detect, acquire, and track the distance and Doppler frequency of the received signal, thereby obtaining a distance signal output including information on the relative distance to the target and a Doppler signal containing information on the relative speed to the target. Thus, the fast Fourier transformation is employed to track the distance and speed at the same time, so reception in a narrow band determined by the frequency resolution of the fast Fourier transformation is performed and the minimum reception sensitivity can be lowered. Further, even when the distance or Doppler frequency is disturbed, the received signal can be tracked continuously.

    • PURPOSE:To perform clutter removal and suppression by any region by making a separation by using the difference between Doppler frequency components of a target and clutter, then performing clutter suppression airthmetic. CONSTITUTION:An echo from a searching space is received by an antenna 1 and inputted to a frequency mixer 4 through a duplexer 2, and the signal is converted into an intermediate frequency and also amplfied. Then, the output of the frequency mixer 4 and a reference signal generated by a reference signal generator 5 are inputted to an in-phase component synchronous detector 6 and an orthogonal component detector 7 to extract the Doppler frequency that a reflecting body has. Then, the signal is inputted to the Dopper frequency extractor 9 consisting of plural Doppler fiters 8 and outputted to the Doppler filter corresponding to the Doppler frequency of the input signal. A clutter suppression computting element 11 calcuates a mean value and a square mean value from the absolute value signal of the output of every filter calculated by an absolute value calculating device 10 to perform the clutter suppression arithmetic processing.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the production of a DF output equivalent in the characteristic to a high speed Fourier transformer output of 2N point simply by arranging a register and an adder between the number N of DF outputs of a high speed Fourier transformer and an amplitude detector to add the number N of DF outputs twice. CONSTITUTION:A received signal digitally converted with a receiver 3 is sent to a digital signal processor 4 and then to amplitude weighting circuit 6 to make a Doppler filter (DF) of a low side lobe characteristic via a clutter removing filter 5. Then, a frequency analysis is performed with a N point high speed Fourier transformer to obtain the number N of DF outputs in the output form of 1/Q2CH. An adder 15 adds data of registers A13 and A14 at each 1/Q2CH of DPs. These digital signal processing produces a DF characteristic equivalent to that of a 2N point high speed Fourier transformer thereby improving frequency resolution, identifying property of signals and clutter removing capacity substantially.
